UPDATE THE FIRMWARE
ON YOUR
PLANCK:
2.
Add the MIDIUSB library to your arduino installation. Choose:
sketch > Include library > manage libraries
EDIT: you can add this library buy downloading the "all libraries zip", extracting the three zip files from the big zip file, and adding the libraries with the "add .ZIP library" function as described further down

Search for MIDIUSB, select the latest version and click install!
4. The hardware midi library needs to be installed "manually"
So go to https://github.com/FortySevenEffects/arduino_midi_library/releases/tag/4.2
and download the library as a zip file. (or get it out of the zip at the top of this page)
then choose:
sketch > Include library > Add .ZIP Library
Then find your "Arduino_MIDI_Library... wherever you put it.

Do the same with the digitalwritefast library:
https://github.com/watterott/Arduino-Libs/tree/master/digitalWriteFast
(or just use the zip at the top of this page!)
6. Connect your planck to your computer and select the right board in Arduino IDE (Arduino Leonardo)
Then set the right port under tools>Port:
Press upload!!!!!1
PRO TIP!
If you have programmed your planck with Toolman Sysex Editor before updating the fiirmware and its not behaving very well , then upload the eeprom_clear example to erase all preset data and then upload the firmware!
In short you have added the following libraries to your Arduino IDE:
<digitalWriteFast.h>
<MIDI.h>
<MIDIUSB.h>
in order to upload the planck firmware.
